Zeruya Shalev

Zeruya Shalev (1959) studeerde Bijbelwetenschappen en woont in Jeruzalem. Haar romans Liefdesleven (1997), Man en vrouw (2003), De tweede familie (2008), Het hart van de familie (2012) en Pijn (2016) zijn stuk voor stuk internationale bestsellers geworden en bereikten een oplage van meer dan vijf miljoen exemplaren. Haar werk is in zevenentwintig talen vertaald. Shalev is naast David Grossman en Amos Oz de meest gelezen auteur uit Israël.
